Music

One of the most known past times, from the legendary jimmy hendricks to tupac. Everyone at some point has been influenced by music. Either in a positive way or a negative way but everyone can relate to music. Their are all sorts of genre hip-hop, raggae, classic, rock etc. For me specifically i like music that I could just relax too. I like majority of the music except house(raver music) or country if its anything other then that ill listen to it. I can honestly say that music is a big part of my life. Ever since I was little I would always ask my parents who sang that song, what is that noise in the back round, how do they do that. When I got to the age where i understood music more I was fascinated how an individual or an instrument could make a difference in someones life. In my case it worked out, when I was in 7th grade I had band class and I played the bass guitar. Its a four stringed instrument thats like a guitar instead of playing high notes as a guitar would do, the bass guitar focused more on the pitch and rythm. I stopped playing bass guitar and got into playing piano, there something about the piano that I cannot explain that catches my attention.

Working out

One way i like to relieve my stress is going to the gym. It gives me a place where I dont have to worry about nothing. Also i like to workout, who wouldn't want to be healthy and get in shape...fat people because they have lack of motivation and they have to many excuses to get off their lazy asses. I'm not saying I'm the fittest person but everytime i go to try to push my body to my limits and i know hard work does pay off, my motto is "if you aint sweating you aint working". Whenever I have a good workout I get this sense of accomplishment and i know I'm only bettering myself. Working out is one of my hobbies that i love to do, some poeple like playing video games, others like watching tv. For me i like staying fit and being proactive, not only in the gym but other forms of exercising besides going to the gym; playing basketball, running, soccer etc.

Edcation

why are we striving for success when there trying to take it away from us. when you take away education your not only hurting our generation but the future generation and one thing we definitely need to do is to invest in our future. Our parents, teachers, elders, tell us to stay in school and get our education but when they take it away from us how are we able to better ourselves without the proper tools to be successful in life. I strongly am for education because when you obtain knowledge and knowledge is power. Everywhere you go you are influenced by education, for example when you read a menu or pay for an order, when did you learn how to read, in school, where did you learn math, in school. Education is one of the most valuable tools in life, without education were nothing.

Snowboarding

snowboarding is the most funest thing you'll ever do when your in the snow, that a fact. Ever since I was a little lad or as far as i could remember i was raised up snowbaording, i would go every year with my dad and my brother. I remember when me and my brother first started snowboarding we were naturals, we first started at the bunny slops then towards the end of the day we were already hitting jumps, going down the biggest hills, i can honestly say snowboarding is my passion. Every time I go my brother and I would always race down the mountain to see who would get to the bottom first, he would always fall and i would always kick snow in face with my snowboard. The second time i went with one of my brothers I did a board slided on a rail that was pretty high, im not going to lie the first time i eat it, but the hundred time i did it finally. I told my other brothers but they didnt believe me, so when we were all together i did it again and they gave me props for doing it.

Holidays

is the holidays the holidays anymore, no not for me and most americans ever since the economy has taken a toll majority of americans have been more conservative on their money and since the money makes the world go round there not much left of it. I remember when the holdiays came around i was so happy now a days for me it just seems like another day, sad to say it but in a sense its true. In the world we live today it seems that there are many doubts and negativity about the economy and how the presidents going to fix it. when gorge bush was president it took him two terms to mess up the economy, many people think just cause the new president obama is in charge everything is going to be fixed right away. It doesnt happen like that it gradually over time happens and us as americans should realize that. we need to work with one another instead of stabbing people in the back just to get ahead. what im saying is its not all about money, and many people have that mentality of if you dont have money your nothing. Well if thats the case then i'd rather be broke and well educated then becoming rich without purpose.

Whats most important to you?

                                                                            "Family"

They define me because without them I am nothing. The ones that truly know me besides me is my family. My family shapes my identity because they have been with me through thin and thin. Whenever I need something or ask advice my family is there. They also taught me to be successful, more specifically my mom. She’s one of my greatest inspirations. She raised me to best that I can be, she told me success is only what you make of it. For me this means if I want something I have to get it, I either be successful or just be another statistic. Strive for excellence don’t just talk about it. I come from a family where we push each other to get ahead, instead of left behind. My oldest brother also inspires me to become a better person. He’s one of the family members that sets a good example so the other siblings follow. In my case it benefited me in a major way because he was always getting good grades and a natural at sports. That’s what I wanted to do; I remember I wanted to play basketball and football for my school, so he taught me. Whenever I needed help on my jump shot or three pointers he would show me a technique that he would do to make it majority or the time. It would take me forever to get it down but eventually I figured it out and I shoot almost as good as him if mot better. Also when it was pre season for football I needed help on my tackling and breaking down. When I was playing football for my school I played middle linebacker and for this position it is crucial to break down and tackle anyone going through the open holes on the line. One way he taught me that always stuck in my head was to always get low and shuffle your feet, this way whenever someone comes your way your already on your toes so its easier to tackle people.

"NIGGA" that's my favorite word !

why you got to say it so short, go ahead keep saying it, you sound so educated. Learn your history saying it like it was a trend trying to repeat it over and over again. I mean everyone is doing it. For some of you your ancestors didn’t struggle for hundred of years. Hoping and praying that one day this word will be a memory. Some of these uneducated minds think this word is ok to use lightly, it just goes to show how ignorant some people can be. Modern day society thinks its cool to use the word “nigga” as a gesture or a way to communicate with one another. In my point of view the word “nigga” has history. When I hear this word I think of all the pain and casualty they went through. Especially during the 1900’s when they were police brutality and inequality. The word “nigga” is underrated just like African American after all these years. During these times the African Americans were considered living in a white mans world. During the 1960’s in the south many African Americans were segregated. Many African Americans couldn’t eat at certain places, go watch movie, or just being outside enjoying the weather. It was considered a shame to be black and a lot of racial or radicals wanted to eradicate African Americans. By labeling a certain “nigga” really shows how even back then they still judgmental on theses types of topics. For the most part I had what I had to say and all I can say is think twice before you just start talking non-sense or be ignorant by using the derogatory terms like “NIGGA”…
